Per Deke Andrew (2008): While the play-offs remain Class A and Class B the new regular season group scheduling gives no regard to Class or Conference. Teams are placed in order using data from the past 5 years of MPA lacrosse. This list of teams is then broken into groups of 5. Each team will play the teams in their group twice (home & away). This creates 8 games against teams of similar strength. The remaining 4 games of the schedule are picked up from the group directly above and below the group you are in.
